Cover reveal for Son of the Sea

I am so excited to share the cover for my second novel, Son of the Sea.

The novel follows Casper, whose greatest ambition is to be the youngest person ever to swim the Channel. He has water in his soul, as well as his giant webbed feet, but his mum and dad are determined to ‘protect him’ from the allure of the waves (whatever that means!). Time is running out, but when a freak accident hospitalises his parents Casper is sent to stay with a grandmother he’s never met in the magical seaside town of Corallium. . . Can he unravel the mysterious link between himself, Corallium and the ocean?

The cover features another incredible illustration by the talented Maxine Lee-Mackie, and was produced by the wonderful team at Chicken House with designer Steve Wells. I am so grateful to each and every one of them for their work. I didn’t think it was possible to match the brilliance of my first book cover, but they have managed just that.

Son of the Sea will be published on 11th May 2023. You can preorder a copy from your local bookstore of choice, or via one of the links below.
